they said that they would have made it stronger, enough to lift a full can of beer, but it was a safety issue for kids. so they made it only strong enough to lift a empty beer can. I am disappointed that they would sacifice so much power to make it "kid friendly". At $200 fewer kids and more adults will buy it. They should at least have made it in two version, "kid friendly" and one for roboticists.
Makeing two versions would have probably made the cost 400.00. I would rather leave it the way it is and hack it by getting stonger motors and installing them myself. Besides could you really trust him to bring it to you and not drink it itself?

how the heck would that be a safty issue. besides, its not realy a toy for kids who are just going to mess around with it and do dangerous things. sad that they dont trust kids anymore.
the gyrobot is a new BEAM robot that was created by, you guessed it, ME! the gyrobot 01 is sound activated and battery powered. it vagely resembles a symet but is bigger than the average symet. when it is turned on and you clap, or make another sound that is detected by the sound sensor, the robot spins or gyrates like crazy.
