New to robots, but I find the new bots are getting better and cheaper so that I can start and playing myself.

My first goal is to make a talking head. I use a chat bot program called Ultra Hal so I want to make a head for it. There are a lot of items out there already so I just need to find something I like and can expand on.

People from my Hal group are using ER1 and things like animated Santa, anything that has lip-synchronized speech.

Well I just wanted to say Hi and I'll be watching the forum.

try getting a talking wowee monkey head, take off the skin and ....put in the voice thingy

Hey Les, how about something with bobbing head, moving mouth, eyes that open and shut, and even ears that wiggle? Mod a FURBY! They are a dime a dozen used.
