I found a website that has a bunch of good examples for making an Irobot work using Labview. ( http://decibel.ni.com/content/...oject?view=documents)

There are examples for how to make the Irobot move, connect it to sensors like rangefinders and compasses and get started programming it.

The directions are all pretty simple and clear; it's a good spot to start.
