Remember the X-Prize for space and the good that came out of it? BEAM is a miniature version for robotic experimenters. This extremely freestyle encouragement/competition has two basic rules:
1. Your entry must not be based on a kit.
2. Your robot must be autonomous.

There are various classes of entries that are judged together, but if your's is unique it will be judged just on its own merits. If you love freestyle robotic innovations and want a real challenge this is the venue for you.
