Question:
A nanorobotics site makes the claim:

"Basic nanomachines are already in use. Nanobots will be the next generation of nanomachines. Advanced nanobots will be able to sense and adapt to environmental stimuli such as heat, light, sounds, surface textures, and chemicals; perform complex calculations; move, communicate, and work together; conduct molecular assembly; and, to some extent, repair or even replicate themselves."

Choices:
This is speculative hype.
Yes, but not in our lifetime.
We're only years or decades away.
The borg already have them!!!

I think it will be reality in about ten years, provided that the nanotechnical development continues in the same pace, which is not too unrealistic. Medical nanobots will see a bright future. Having nanobots in your bloodstream to increase the speed of regeneration really sounds neat! Would be a likely investment for the military, requiring battle wounds to heal fast.
