hello, i will not waste your time. i need to know if it is possible to create a human folowing robot even if i have to implant my coat with an RFID tag. this is part of a larger project. i'm only 13 but i know a lot about electronics. if anyone knows sumthing about active RFID tags let me know. thanks
Depending on the software you use you could train it to recognise a 'red ball' and have one hanging from the back of someone. The robot would then follow the red ball. I don't know what RFID tags are so I can't be more helpful.

The following distance is critical to your application. If the robot always follows just a few feet behind the human, then passive RFID will work, and you can take one from a product you bought in a store, such as a CD.
Active RFID tags cost $20.00 or more and contain batteries that might need replacing. They can be read up to 100 feet away.
You also have to consider the cost of the RFID reading system. Active RFID can be WIFI compatible, so if that is part of your robot you only need reading software for your target tag.
