I got this little robot about nine inches tall that looks like an Asimo. He was in a box of junk I acquired.

On the back of his battery pack he says Copyright 2001
Thunder Electronics
All Rights Reserved
Rating DC 6V
Battery 4X "AA"
Made in China PT-120

He has buttons on top of his head, and on one of his ears, and what looks like a sensor on his left chest.

Does anyone out there know about this critter? Any manuals? Does he have a remote?

I've just bought one of these in the UK. I can 'make' it do stuff...but I don't know how to turn it off without removing the batteries. There was no instruction manual with it. Did you have any luck with your enquiries? Mine was boxed but had no remote control. The 'Thunder Electronics' web site shows the robot on its home page but I can find it on any other pages. On the box, it's called 'Powertron' and it's described as a humanoid robot.

My little boy purchased one of these at a fair recently, but was very disappointed that we could not make him do very much. We too then assumed there must have been a remote control that was missing. However, I e-mailed Thunder Electronics and had a (sadly rather curt) reply back that there is no remote control as the buttons are supposed to make him work, and they could not supply instructions as they stopped making this toy around 6 years ago. A shame, but at least we now know!
