I think so...it can also push the 'robot' advertisment more...in my eyes it's more of a robot if it's more autonomous

I'm not comfortable with Pleo precisely because the inventor of Furby is behind it. Furby didn't learn anything. Routines, words, phrases, etc. were programmed in already and unleashed over time. If Pleo is just a glorified Furby, forget it. I hope not.

Did Furby have a remote? No!!!

Furby also did not have an sensors as i recall except a photocell between his eyes. There will be alot more AI then any other robot on the market in that price range. What other robots can you think of for $250 can do what it can do and have the number of motors and what not in it. I think its a great start for Ugobe and im sure they will be here to stay and compete in this ever growing market.

did the furby even move? just sat down and veggitated asking for things.

you can tell the pleo is obviosly 700x better just by seeing the video of it
